HomeSchool - Paper Puppets dress up

Was surfing online for preschool activities and came across THIS. The dolls were just too adorable to give them a miss. We've seen similar items in shops selling at high prices. So I printed these free of charge and got the help of maid and AhBeeJie with the cutting. To make them last longer, I laminated all the pieces. Its fun to play dress up and pretend play slumber party, holloween, christmas etc... While doing so, we also talk about colours, enhanced vocabulary with the many different types of clothings (dress, skirt, trousers, shorts, boots, shoes, sneakers, slippers, etc...). Hold 2 way conversations. Can even re-enforce sorting skill and organization by catergorizing the clothings (all shoes together, all tops together, all bottoms together etc...) Hee hee... then later she can tidy up her wardrobe by herself.

BFIAR - Jesse Bear, What will you wear_Part 2

We are taking it real slow with our BFIAR homeschool program. I find it real tough to rush home from work, squeezing in time to do some activities and trying to get T to sleep by 9pm. This week we played paper puppets and dress Jesse bear up. We later sat down and coloured the cut out clothings. We also played hide and seek the bears. We cut out some bear face prints and I hide them around the house and T goes to look for them. She learns to listen to instructions such as "on top of", "behind", "under", etc... What's more fun is when she ask me to close my eyes and she hides them for me to seek. We had a good 45 mins of giggles playing this.

Children Book - My Magnetic Playhouse

The shopping bug has bitten me this season. I've been doing so much online purchases the past weeks. Most of the purchases were of course for little T. This is her favorite book this season.

This cute book opens up to show the interior of a house and have magnets of household furniture, a family of 4, pets, etc... It comes with 4 small books inside with short stories of the family and T and I will use the dolls to play the story out.

T has lots of fun playing with the mummy and daddy dolls making them do all sorts of funny things in the house and talking to them.

Homeschool - Threading Beads

We've had this set of toy for quite some time now, but it is only recently that T successfully thread the beads through the needle. In the past, she really had trouble trying to coordinate her fingers to thread through with one hand and pull down the bead with the other. This is good training for the fine motor skills and coordination.
